My name is Stephanie and I'm a doula.

To start with the basics, I'm a wife, mother of two, and we live in Fullerton, CA.

I have always been an enthusiastic advocate of making educated choices, both for ones self and ones children, but my passion for childbirth was sparked by the birth of my godson. His father and I have been best friends since our early teens, and when his wife was in labor, he found that he was having difficulty coping with her discomfort. I went to the hospital to support him, and of course, his wife, and found myself in the room when their son was born, somewhat by accident. It was an amazing experience and one that I think about often.

When I was pregnant with my second child, many of my friends and acquaintances were also pregnant, and the outcome of many of our labor and birth experiences was not what we had hoped for. It didn't sit well with me, and I began to do more reading and research. Around the same time, I began to become more involved in international parenting associations and groups that focused on advocating for marginalized families.

All of these various avenues have lead me to the path of becoming a doula, over and over. Coupled with my own radically different birth and breastfeeding experiences, I felt that I had a lot to offer to help normalize a birthing persons experience, regardless of what that experience is. I felt it was a sound choice for me and I embarked on my doula journey!

My Philosophy

I feel that all parents deserve continuous, nonjudgmental support before, during, and after labor and birth.  All parents deserve to have the experience they want without the guilt and shame so often associated with the births of our children! I want to help make your birth experience empowering and positive!

I can provide resources and education to help parents make informed choices for their family, and support those choices by helping them advocate for themselves with their care providers.
